Is the rent actually being paid?
Rent that really settled on-chain, per platform — proof, not the advertised promise · How every number is computed →
Every platform advertises a yield. Very few let you check whether the rent behind it actually arrives. Where payouts settle on a public blockchain, we can — and here is the total that has really reached token-holders' wallets on-chain:
That is the proof — stablecoin distributions traced out of each platform's payout contract, per property. The promise is the advertised yield (RealT alone advertises a median of 9.8%/yr). The two are not the same number, and on RealT right now the gap is total: the promise still reads ~10%; the on-chain rent is $0.
The RealT rent halt
RealT is the largest issuer on the on-chain tape, and its rent has stopped. Every figure below is read from RealT's own payout contract (DisperseV2 on Gnosis ↗) — not marketing.
Weekly payouts ran near ~11,289 wallets at the start of the year, then collapsed roughly 90% the week of 2026-02-09, limped along at ~1,100–1,400 wallets, and stopped entirely after 2026-04-13. In the 103 days since, $0 of rent has been distributed on-chain — against an advertised yield that still reads about 9.8%/yr. Announced is not paid.
Paid vs promised, by platform
The advertised yield is the promise; the on-chain income is the proof. Where a platform's payouts settle on a public chain, we can put the two side by side.
| Platform | Advertised | Paid on-chain | Properties | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RealT | ~9.8% | $0 now | — | Halted 2026-04-13 |
| Binaryx | ~6.0% | $364,503 | 15 | 8 funded 7 stopped |
| Blocksquare | — | $92,648 | 6 | 2 distributing |
| Reental | — | $3,757,265 | 75 | |
| Lofty | advertised | not verifiable | — | Custodial — no on-chain payout feed |
How each is measured on-chain
- Binaryx (Polygon) — sum of PaidRent stablecoin (USDT0) deposits into the Revenue distribution proxy, net of fees, decoded per property. Covered-through is the period the last deposit funds.
- Blocksquare (Ethereum) —
RevenueAddedevents (DAI) on the distribution contract, summed per property token. - Reental (Polygon) — on-chain dividend distributions attributed to specific property tokens; capital events that cannot be matched to one property are excluded, so the figure understates rather than overstates.
- RealT (Gnosis) — every stablecoin transfer out of the DisperseV2 payout contract, rolled up per week; the last batch settled 2026-04-13.
Announced is not paid. An advertised yield is a marketing figure; the numbers above are money that actually moved on a public chain. Some issuers are fully verifiable this way (RealT, Binaryx, Blocksquare, Reental). Lofty is not: its rent is handled custodially and does not settle through a public payout feed we can index, so we make no claim about a Lofty figure rather than repeat one we cannot check.
